Lesson · from Delta Circle on NESO Now
How CDFIs and SBA loans work
A short lesson, in plain words. Community Development Financial Institutions, or CDFIs, are specialized organizations that provide financial services in low-income communities and to people who lack access to financing.
They include community development banks and credit unions. A 7(a) loan is the Small Business Administration's main loan program for small businesses.
Lenders make the loans and the SBA provides a loan guarantee to them; it does not lend to borrowers directly.
